MEET ANGELO
ANGELO ZISSIS, PHARMD — INTEGRATIVE PHARMACIST & CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGIST
As a young adult, I saw firsthand how medicine could provide therapeutic relief yet also cause harm. This inspired me to pursue a career in pharmacy to better understand that delicate balance. Throughout my schooling and clinical rotations, I realized that healing extends beyond medications alone. I began exploring how the body possesses an innate ability to heal when given the right guidance and tools.
This exploration ultimately shaped my true path, which deepened when I began working in New York City. There, I had the privilege of working alongside some of the most insightful physicians and healers, further expanding my understanding of what it means to become a healer.
MY JOURNEY TO BECOMING A PHARMACIST AND MY PATH OF HEALING
We all encounter life-changing experiences. During the pandemic, I faced a life-threatening illness. Rather than succumbing, I used my knowledge and skills to not only support my own recovery but also to assist others struggling physically and mentally.
This experience further solidified my mission: to serve with compassion, embrace holistic healing, and support every individual I can. Guided by love, empathy, and dedication, I remain committed to helping others achieve true health and vitality in mind, body, and spirit.
A NAME ROOTED IN ROSLYN
Bryant Chemists is more than a name; it is a tribute to Roslyn's history and the legacy of William Cullen Bryant, a renowned poet, journalist, and early champion of holistic medicine who once called this community home.
Bryant helped put Roslyn on the map and played a key role in establishing one of America’s early homeopathic medical institutions. Today, our pharmacy sits just beneath the William Cullen Bryant Viaduct, a daily reminder of the pioneering spirit that shaped this town.
As a modern integrative pharmacy, we honor that legacy by embracing both traditional and advanced approaches to healing, and we serve our community with care and a deep commitment to whole-person wellness.
